I attended a research seminar today. It was BAD. It didn't help that the topic didn't interest me a slightest bit. But the speaker read from a script - a script which was not specifically targeted for the research seminar, but actually a journal article which I could have read in 20 mins in the comfort of my room with a mug of hot chocolate in one hand and Beethoven Symphony No. 7 in the background...

Honestly.. if you're a guest speaker, then please treat your audience with a bit of respect. We are not idiots. We can read.. provide us with something that we can't just read off a book.

Thank God for pancakes which made my day - Yes, it's Pancake (Shrove) Tuesday once again...
